Who We Are
Founded by Erik Jorgensen, a Certified Professional Bookkeeper with decades of hands-on financial experience, The Pulse Accounting was built on the idea that accounting doesn’t have to be confusing or impersonal.
Erik specializes in finance, operations, and complete oversight of accounting functions. His expertise spans a wide array of skills, including cash flow forecasting, budgetary planning, productivity metrics analysis, team management, and stakeholder engagement.
Throughout his career, he has held key leadership positions in various industries, including automotive, hospitality, and property management. His roles have included Financial Controller in a corporate setting. Early on in his career he spent many years in a public practice accounting environment experiencing the personal relationship required between accountant and client.
Erik isn’t just your typical numbers guy — he’s a dedicated family man, a lifelong 49ers fan, a Star Wars nerd, and a community member who believes in building strong relationships with clients, not just crunching numbers. He’s also a proud member of the Duncan Daybreak Rotary Club, actively giving back to the Cowichan community.
We combine deep financial expertise with a down-to-earth, plain-English approach to bookkeeping, tax preparation, and strategic financial planning.

Don’t let the fur fool you—Pepper is a vital part of The Pulse Accounting Services team. As our unofficial Office Morale Manager, Pepper specializes in stress reduction, snack time reminders, and bringing joy to the workplace with her gentle squeaks and signature zoomies. When she’s not supervising spreadsheets from her cozy corner, she enjoys cucumber slices, napping in sunbeams, and providing emotional support during tax season.
Pepper reminds us all to slow down, breathe, and never underestimate the power of a well-timed snack.
