Who We Are
Founded by Erik Jorgensen, a Certified Professional Bookkeeper with decades of hands-on financial experience, The Pulse Accounting was built on the idea that accounting doesn’t have to be confusing or impersonal.
Erik specializes in finance, operations, and complete oversight of accounting functions. His expertise spans a wide array of skills, including cash flow forecasting, budgetary planning, productivity metrics analysis, team management, and stakeholder engagement.
Throughout his career, he has held key leadership positions in various industries, including automotive, hospitality, and property management. His roles have included Financial Controller in a corporate setting. Early on in his career he spent many years in a public practice accounting environment experiencing the personal relationship required between accountant and client.
Erik isn’t just your typical numbers guy — he’s a dedicated family man, a lifelong 49ers fan, a Star Wars nerd, and a community member who believes in building strong relationships with clients, not just crunching numbers. He’s also a proud member of the Duncan Daybreak Rotary Club, actively giving back to the Cowichan community.
We combine deep financial expertise with a down-to-earth, plain-English approach to bookkeeping, tax preparation, and strategic financial planning.

As the Sales & Marketing Lead for The Pulse Accounting, Brodey Jorgensen is the primary bridge between the firm’s expert financial services and the local business community. Joining the team in September 2025, Brodey plays a vital role in the firm’s mission to bring "precision in every beat" to clients across Victoria and the Cowichan Valley.
Brodey leads the company’s growth initiatives by identifying and engaging with small business owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals who need more than just a "numbers guy." He specializes in driving local marketing efforts and maintaining a vibrant social media presence that mirrors the firm’s down-to-earth, "plain-English" approach to finance. Whether through digital lead generation or direct community outreach, Brodey is dedicated to helping clients find the financial clarity and peace of mind that The Pulse Accounting is known for.
